Comprises:
Tim Rogers, Andy Kent, Russel Hopkinson
Formed in
Sydney in 1989, they are at present putting together their 5th album.
Tim Rogers’ clever and thoughtful lyrics are well suited for the bands
melodic guitar sound
.
In 1999
Tim Rogers released a highly acclaimed solo album, “What Rhymes With Cars
& Girls”
Check out
the beautifully morose “Heavy Heart”
GRINSPOON

Lismore’s
finest explode on to the national scene in 1998 after being unbearthed by Tripe
J radio station. Known as one of
Australia’s hardest working bands, they seem to be constantly touring.
Their live sets will get you sweating in the mosh pit to the glorious 2
minute pop of “Just Ace” or shouting your loudest “More Than You Are”.
In 1999 Grinspoon gained international attention with their US tours
supporting such acts as Anthrax.
Check out
their latest album “Easy”.
Grinspoon
are in your face.
JEBEDIAH

Kevin,
Chris, Brett and Vanessa make up Perth’s latest rocksters, Jebediah
Their
debut album “Slightly Odway” was made a huge commercial success by the hit
singles “Leaving Home’ and “Teflon”.
Teenage angst lyrics backed by excellent catchy riffs have seen the
“Jebs” become one of Australia’s most popular bands at present.
Their new album sees them going from strength to strength.
Catch them at a venue near you.
REGURGITATOR

Quan
Yeomans and Ben Ely comprise the core of the band and what a bag of tricks these
boys are. The “Gurge” mix many
styles. In the earlier days their
sound was almost surf punk rap with hits such as “Blubber Boy” and “The
Kung Foo Sing” Their latest two
albums saw the “Gurge” develop a very pop oriented sound with the blissfully
cheesy “Polyester girl” while still clinging to their punk roots.
Their high energy shows are a “must see”.
POWDERFINGER
top
Fighting
out of Grosvenor St in Brisbane, Powderfinger are the new darlings of the
Australian Music industry. Their
new album “The Internationalist” cleaned up at the 1999 ARIA’s (Australian
version of Grammy’s). In Triple
J’s top 100 of 1999 (voted by the listeners and the biggest listener poll in
the world) Powderfinger had 4 entries from this album.
Heartthrob
Bernard Fanning’s thought provoking lyrics are well complemented by the bands
rhythm section. Excellent live act.
